ABOUT. On 13 July 2024, the British Union Conference (BUC) launches its One Million Reasons campaign throughout the territory. Under the Reflecting Hope banner, the Adventist Discovery Centre, the Evangelism Department, the Stanborough Press and Adventist World Radio (AWR) have collaborated to produce twenty contemporary new leaflets for distribution in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

MISSION-FOCUSED. The launch of the One Million Reasons campaign coincides with the General Conference special day of Mission Promotion: World Mission and supports the drive to become more directly involved in outreach in this part of the world.

In the book of Isaiah, God speaks to the prophet, and He asks a poignant question (Isaiah 6:8, MSG): ‘Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?’ The question suggests that there are insufficient people to answer the call. God is looking for missionaries to help to fulfil His mission. ‘I spoke up, “I’ll go. Send me!” ’

PARTICIPATION. Every church in the BUC is invited to participate in the distribution of these leaflets. Each church is invited to order supplies from the Adventist Discovery Centre through a special-order form. We would encourage all churches to get involved on 13 July 2024. However, if your church is unable to participate on that Sabbath, please set aside one Sabbath this year to distribute these new leaflets.

REPORTING. Each of the leaflets has two QR codes inviting the reader to watch a video series or engage in further study on a special Bible topic. Part of the benefit of using these codes is that the Reflecting Hope team can effectively monitor and evaluate the impact of the campaign and report on its outcome.

REFLECTION. ‘Church members, ask God to give you a burden to open the Scriptures to others and to do missionary work for those who need help. Some will be rescued in one way and some in another, but the work must always be done as the Lord shall lead. . . . Let the publications containing Bible truth be scattered like the leaves of autumn.
